There are so many different acne products, both prescription and over the counter, that you might be tempted simply to buy what is happening on the sale and use, regardless of whether it was formulated to treat your type of acne. They are divided into several categories, from prescription oral medication such as Accutane or antibiotics such as tetracycline for the most serious cases, detergents, soaps, Exfoliate, medicines and topical applications for lighter cases.
