Before any kind of treatment can begin, you must decide what type of acne you have.
Non-inflammatory acne
Categorized as a mild to moderate acne, depending on the number of outbreaks on the skin, non-inflammatory acne consists of two types of breakout. One form of acne, including comedones, is open to the skin surface causing the oil, which blocks the pores to black. This form of acne is known as blackheads. A Whitehead is that acne has a small white belly. This is just a blackhead disease, which has not yet been opened to the surface of the skin.
Inflammatory Acne
Inflammatory acne is a mixture of white heads and blackheads with irritating and painful nodules, papules and pustules. In other words, there is a mixture of non-inflammatory acne and papulopustular (inflammatory) acne. A papule is a form of acne, which looks like a red, swollen bump on the skin, but not on a Whitehead. Once these wounds have become infected and swollen enough to the surface of the skin, they form a white, Puss filled head. This is a pustule.
Severe Acne formations
The most serious come done is a node. This type of acne is deep under the skin and is very sore to the touch. These are often very red and swells to a big belly. These formations either not heal quickly and often leads to severe scarring on the surface of the skin. Even worse, if not treated, they will continue in the same place, the scars worse than before. Most of the damage from these wounds, if you try to squeeze relieve the pressure on the surrounding tissue.
A node, filled with Puss of the infection is considered an acne cyst. These also become very large and swell under the skin and makes it very painful, not to mention embarrassing. Although this type of acne is "worse", it is very unwise to break up because they are open about the large, deep scars they leave behind. Sometimes, if the cyst was broken, it will cause the infection even worsen the scar that is larger and much more to heal.
